Healthy Chocolate Fudge Cake

Holy friends smoke! I feel like a new woman because I brought you the most delicious and delicious chocolate cake recipe!
This healthy chocolate cake is free of refined sugar and can be made gluten-free. I have tested it with gluten-free flour from King Arthur and the results are amazing.

We already have an amazing recipe for healthier chocolate cake on our site - but my friend is allergic to bananas and the recipe uses bananas instead of healthy butter and sugar.

So I really want to make a healthy chocolate cake recipe that doesn't need bananas so he can enjoy it!

I am really impressed with the results. Sure, it takes 5 batches of trial and error to get a finished recipe, but it's worth it.

INGREDIENTS

  •  2/3 glasses of skim milk
  •  1 egg
  •  1/2 cup honey
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •  1/4 cup of Greek yogurt
  •  1 cup all-purpose flour OR whole wheat flour OR gluten-free flour
  •  3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  •  4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)
  •  1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (OR sugar-free chocolate chips)
  •  1 cup of fat-free cold whip


INSTRUCTIONS
CAKE

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix milk, eggs, honey, vanilla extract, and Greek yogurt, stir until mixed.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and sifted sugarless chocolate powder. After mixing, add the dry ingredients to the bowl and stir until evenly mixed. A small lump and a layer of flour are fine!
  4. Spray an 8-inch square pan with non-stick spray. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 22-24 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cake cool.

ADDITIONAL

  1. Place 1/4 cup of chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at 50% power until it melts. To help the chocolate melt without burning, you can add a little oil. Let the chocolate cool for 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the melted chocolate and cold whip, stirring until smooth. Spread it on a cake that has cooled down. The cake can be closed and cooled until it's ready to be served.
